Mowing & Trimming
Mowing and trimming begins in the spring, as weather permits. The blades are set to cut at 3″ to 3.75″ depending on conditions. Our equipment and patterns will be selected to take advantage of recycling clippings (when possible.) Our equipment is well-maintained, guaranteeing sharp blades for clean, tear-free cuts. We take extra care to ensure grass near fences, foundations, and other borders is trimmed and neat. Sidewalks, beds, and patios will be kept free of clippings after mowing.
Pruning services are provided to present evergreens and shrubs in a neat and clean appearance. Well-maintained and sharp equipment will be used on hedges to prevent tearing or damage to the plant. The homeowner or manager’s desired height and shape will be accommodated. Clippings will be removed from all areas surrounding the bushes. For best results, it is recommended that trimming be done twice yearly.
Seasonal Cleanup (Spring & Fall)
Lawn maintenance begins in spring with raking, blowing, and general debris cleanup. This includes paved areas. Fall cleanup generally begins mid-November and includes blowing, clearing of shrubs beds, clearing of fence-lines, and leaf collection.
Aeration allows air, water, and nutrients to reach the grass roots and will help produce a stronger and healthier lawn. Aeration is recommended in conjunction with spring and fall cleanups. This is a great time to overseed your lawn as well.
From driveways to parking lots, we can handle your snow removal needs. We will keep your surfaces accessible and safe, regardless of the weather.
Fertilization and Weed Control
Lawn fertilization will be applied four times per year: once in the spring to nurture the grass and add crabgrass control, again in the early summer with a weed control additive for dandelions, a third time in late summer to add a boost to the lawn, and lastly in the fall with a winterization application. We recommend all four applications for a better looking lawn. We can schedule a grub control application, if needed during the month of June. Organic applications are also available where synthetic pesticides and fertilizers are eliminated and the health of the soil improves.
